Purpose: The primary function is to make pulling arrows from dense foam, 3D, and old straw targets much easier, which can prevent injuries and prolong the life of the arrow shafts.
Composition: The lubricant is typically silicone-based.
Application: It usually comes in a small tube with a sponge-top applicator. The user pushes the arrow tip into the sponge to apply a thin, even layer to the first 5 to 10 cm of the shaft.
Effectiveness: Only a light coat is needed, which is typically wiped off as it penetrates the target, meaning re-application may be necessary every few shots.
Portability: The compact tube design is often portable and can be clipped to a quiver or belt for convenience in the field or at the range.
Odor: Most commercial arrow lubes, including this type, are typically scent-free or odorless.
